After 25 years, boxing returns to Thetford

We are a newly opened, competitive amateur boxing club based in Thetford, Norfolk. On behalf of Thetford Town Boxing Club I would like to welcome you to the club and provide you with some information about our activities.

Thetford Town Boxing ABAE Coaches
The club provides boxing and training opportunities for young people aged 9 years and over and for 10 years to 40 years there will be the opportunity to enter into competitions. Coaching is by qualified ABAE coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people.

Thetford Town Boxing Club has been awarded Affiliation to England Boxing and work closely with them and our regional office of Norfolk Boxing (of which we have a place on the Board). We have been awarded this affiliation as we have been able to demonstrate that the club and its committee, coaches and volunteers meet and abide by their high standards in child protection; sports equity and ethics and club management.

We pride ourselves on offering a high quality and welcoming environment for young participants in the sport. The club has adopted and abides by the England Boxing Child Protection Policy and the England Boxing Equity Policy. Both documents can be viewed/ downloaded on the ABAE website at www.abae.co.uk and are displayed in our club. We welcome parents/ family members to all training and competitions and value your support.

Every boxer will move up sessions depending on their own skills and abilities, regardless of how long they have been attending. Everyone is different and will progress at their own pace, at different times with the assistance and guidance of our trained coaches.

For those under the age of 16 years, arrangements should be made for your child to travel to and from training sessions and matches. We appreciate it if children can arrive promptly and are collected promptly at the end of the session, if they are not making their own way home.
